OUR MISSION is to provide a variety of premium organic and natural treats for dogs and cats at a reasonable price. We believe in the ethical and humane treatment of ALL animals, including those who give their life to allow others to live.
Green Mountain TREATS is a dream come true for me. Almost 26 years ago, when I was still living in Germany I dreamed of owning a company with "Green Mountain" in the title. I met my wife, Martha on the shore of Lake Morey in Fairlee, VT in 1995. She introduced me to the enriching world of dogs while I brought my love for cats. We raised our 2 sons in Fairlee on Mountain Rd with dogs and cats ever present in our lives. Over the years our love and interest expanded. I became a Certified Veterinary Assistant and then a Certified Professional Groomer out of which our parent business was launched in 2013. Martha, a human Physical Therapist for over 40 years became a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist in 2019 and started and provides in home physical therapy for dogs. Soon thereafter she learned about Green Mountain TREATS and began using them as a tool in her practice. This led to the offer to buy it which was an absolute natural step leading us to become the proud owner's/operators of this small seven year old Vermont company. We remain fully committed to carrying on the Mission.
Our goal is to work with local resources and vendors to follow the "farm to table" philosophy (in this case farm to dog or cat dish). We use only all natural or certified organic products and will continue to offer healthy and nutrient rich food for your pets.
